The Chapel Down Winery in Tenterden is home to England’s leading wine producer. Chapel Down produces sparkling and still wines from grapes grown across the South East of England, as well as a range of premium spirits. The winery is open daily to visitors throughout the year. 

The winery building features a large wine and fine food store selling fantastic local produce, plus a stunning restaurant and bar 'The Swan at Chapel Down'.

Visitors can enjoy a guided tour to taste and learn about how we grow vines and make wine, advance booking is recommended, visit our website for current availability. Free tastings are always available in the shop. Group visits are available by prior arrangement.

The winery also offers a range of fantastic experiences which include refreshments, interactive masterclasses and accommodation in the local area. For those who have always dreamed of owning their own vineyard, the Vine Leasing scheme could be the answer and makes a great gift.

 

Introducing Our Newest Tour - The Explorer Experience

Discover what makes Chapel Down the leading producer of English wine on this new introductory experience which focuses on the production of our world renowned sparkling wines. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the winery, followed by tutored tasting of three of our award-winning sparkling wines. The experience concludes with a light lunch of seasonal small plates the Bib Gourmand Swan Restaurant.

Available on Monday’s and Tuesday’s only, between 1st February and 30th April 2022.

Entrance to the Shop, Restaurant, Vineyards and Herb Garden is free of charge. Guided Tour pricing Adults: £20.00 Concessions: £18.50 Children 12-17 years: £5.00 Under 12’s: Free Groups: £17.50 - Minimum visitors per group – 15
