Woodchurch is a picturesque Kent village which is situated 7 miles from the historic market town of Ashford and 5 miles from the Cinque Ports town of Tenterden.
The Museum is housed in an 18th century oak-framed barn and 17th century cart shed, on a rural site not far from the village centre.
The collection is very varied .... from wagons to tiny coins..... from the Stone Age to the present, but all with a connection to the parish of Woodchurch.
These artefacts, through a variety of media, trace the story of the community from the time when Stone Age man passed by, to Woodchurch today with its community of 2500 people.
The story is told through its landscape, architecture, farming, schools, religion, wars, trades and professions and social life.
