Create Festival, Ashford
Here in Ashford and Tenterden we are rightly proud of our festivals. Jazz, classical, rock, folk, food and drink, and literary all feature in our line up!
Create Festival is the headline gig of the year, and it's FREE! Each July around 12000 people gather in Victoria Park throughout the day to listen to local talent perform, with a headline act appearing in the evening. Previous big names include Adam Ant, Dodgy and Nizlopi.
June sees the Stour Music Festival take place in the beautiful church at Boughton Aluph near Ashford, celebrating early baroque music with performances taking place over two weeks.
The much-acclaimed Tenterden Folk Festival is now in its 25th year. The first weekend in October sees the streets come alive with music and colour as live performers take over the high street.
